Dualsport Sidecar Skills Mini Tour August 20th~22
This package includes the standard Advanced S/TEP class followed by a day and a half of riding with as much off pavement routes as we can squeeze in. I plan to stay out a little longer on Sunday than our other tours so if you are here from out of town it would be prudent to book your room through Sunday night. We may get in a little late to run back to Portland to catch a flight home.
The route I have planned includes portions of the old Barlow Toll Road. This was the Western most section of the Oregon Trail. To get to the Willamette Valley or the coast you either had to shoot the rapids in the Columbia Gorge or take this treacherous trail around Mt.Hood.
I may have to modify or change the route at the last minute, due to closures. El Nino may be sending us a bad fire season this year. If I need to change the route we will still be covering interesting ground with the rides tending towards dirt and gravel roads and a few technical challenges. If you plan on bringing your own sidecar, be sure it is in good shape and you have at least 8″ of ground clearance and good dualsport tires.
This package is not for beginners.

The Sidecar Skills Mini Tour is geared towards folks that already have some experience or training. Friday evening and Saturday morning is the Advanced S/TEP class. We will brush up on technique and work towards perfection during the Advanced S/TEP class, then apply it during the rides Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday. The route will be some highway and secondary roads with an emphasis on gravel and dirt roads.
