KLR Rides

We took a little test ride on the bikes yesterday. Casey, Chad, Mike and I went up the ridge and wandered around for about 6 hours. Mike and Casey have both ridden sidecars with me before; Mike has owned a number of sidecars in the past and we have ridden both on and off pavement together for years. Casey has been monkey for me on several rides, including a Rat Dog Dualsport rally. He recently completed the Adventure Sidecar S/TEP training . Chad has ridden motorcycles, but the  sidecar was a new experience.

Casey did great, jamming through the rough stuff like an old pro!

...This double berm on a steep uphill grade traps everyone the first time they attempt it. Casey got a little sideways but was able to top the hill

Mike and I had scouted the link between the top of the grade and another abandoned road last week. A short offroad ride on an ATV track hooked us back up with the road

It was a little technical, a very tight track twisting through the trees and manzanita with a big berm in the middle...

I managed to miss a turn on the way to Ketchum Road. We took a vote and decided to press on rather than turn back We eventually came out in The Dalles on Mill Creek Road- a 2 hour detour over some very rough ground.

It was 8:30 when we finally rolled back home. The consensus seemed to be we had a great time!

more KLR adventures!
