2004 saw a dramatic increase in sidecar participation when IMWA sponsored several teams. Out of a field of almost 200 bikes we had ten sidecars. The Urals did very well, impressing one and all with their rugged reliability and remarkable ability to go almost anywhere the determined sidecar pilots chose to point them.
