When the wildflowers are particularly nice, my mother and I will take a driving tour through the woods. We pack a lunch, bring the field guides and our cameras and make a day of it.

           

Spring also brings out one of my favorite edible mushrooms, the morel.

These tasty delicacies are all the excuse needed to take the sidecar into the mountains for the day.
