Situated on the borders of several diverse eco-zones, we have only to choose a new direction to experience a completely different face to spring.

If we go up the mountain we find alpine flora.

If we go east or south, we move out of the predominantly fir rainforests through the drier pine and oak woods…

…and onto the plains and high desert.
