I recently discovered Shanky’s Whip. A dark, sweet liqueur, somewhat analogous to Drambuie, Shanky’s Whip is a mixture of Irish whiskey, vanilla, caramel, and other ingredients.
I have been mixing equal parts of Tullamore Dew and Shanky’s Whip for a concoction I call the Rusty Brogue.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ oz Shanky’s Whip
- 1 ½ oz Irish whiskey
-
large ice cube
Pour ingredients over a large ice cube in an Old Fashioned glass. Sip until empty. Repeat as necessary.
There are lots of cooks out there who actually know what they are doing. I pretty much taught myself to cook, out of necessity. I haven’t a clue most of the time, but I do love to eat.
