The world fills him with wonder. When he looks at the sky he is lifted into flights of fancy, when he stares at the earth he is drawn beneath its surface. He is delighted to find the macrocosm and the microcosm equally mesmerizing.

It’s a little cloudy but calm. We must have gotten more rain. The deck is wet again.
There is a bird calling from the oaks I haven’t heard before. It’s like a jungle sound track.
Short repetitive call, like a chimpanzee in an old Tarzan movie. Not much variation, four or five whoops in the dark , a pause then repeated.
