The world fills him with wonder. When he looks at the sky he is lifted into flights of fancy, when he stares at the earth he is drawn beneath its surface. He is delighted to find the macrocosm and the microcosm equally mesmerizing.

Monday morning in San Carlos. The whine of leaf blowers fills the air.
After breakfast we walked from San Carlos to Lynne’s house in Redwood City. Christmas decorations were coming down. The little ones had all gone home. The level of insanity had been lowered but not eliminated.
We will be home tomorrow evening. It has been a good visit, but I will be glad to get back.
