One of the first things I changed on my Scrambler was the shift lever. The OEM lever is rigid and can damage the clutch cover, or even worse, the transmission, if the bike falls over or if the lever snags a rock or some brush. I bought an MSR shifter off ebay. I don’t remember what bike it was intended for.  It doesn’t matter – just match the shaft size and the sideways bow of the lever so it will clear the left side cover when selecting your replacement. I chose the length to fit my boot size.
