Good Evening

The Adventurer, Vernon Wade

Vernon was born in the Pacific Northwest and still lives in the shadow of Mt. Hood, near the small town where he grew up. Vernon has spent decades wandering the hills, hunting mushrooms, camping and riding motorcycles into the remotest nooks and crannies to be found in the region.

Got home from four days of grubbing in the dirt for pretty rocks. Walter Dawg spent four days rolling in cow manure. Rob and I  got back to my place a little before five o’clock today.

We transferred Robert’s gear from my truck into his, divided up the loot, then Rob headed home. He still had a three hour drive.

After dinner I put Walter in the shower and shampooed him. I was next and I  was almost as dirty as the dog.

Now Walt is drying off in the laundry room and I’m out back in the hot tub, enjoying a Kentucky Mule.
