The world fills him with wonder. When he looks at the sky he is lifted into flights of fancy, when he stares at the earth he is drawn beneath its surface. He is delighted to find the macrocosm and the microcosm equally mesmerizing.
9/14/25 6:00 59F (15C) No wind. Moon waning into the last quarter. Cloudy with rain predicted. The rooster is crowing and the dog is barking. The commotion echoes up the canyon.
I spent yesterday morning at Russell’s, drilling the touch hole on my trade gun and pressing a plug into the hollow of the breech plug.
In my excitement, I neglected to clean the manufacturing oil out of the barrel while I had it apart. I will need to do that before I test fire the gun.
