The world fills him with wonder. When he looks at the sky he is lifted into flights of fancy, when he stares at the earth he is drawn beneath its surface. He is delighted to find the macrocosm and the microcosm equally mesmerizing.

A windless morning. Clear, blue sky. The deck is wet, still slick with last night’s rain.
The crickets are silent this morning, but the birds are active, squawking and chattering. The owl across the way is asking the usual question.
The rooster has awakened and something has attracted Walter’s attention. He is telling the world but we would rather he didn’t.
