Good Morning

The Writer, Vernon Wade

Vernon Wade is a poet, author and freelancer. He has been published in The Gorge Literary Journal, Dualsport Rider Magazine, Hack’d Magazine, The Sidecarist, ROB Magazine and The Hood River News.

The world fills him with wonder. When he looks at the sky he is lifted into flights of fancy, when he stares at the earth he is drawn beneath its surface. He is delighted to find the macrocosm and the microcosm equally mesmerizing.

Dry, breezy and overcast. There were stars out earlier but it is cloudy now.

Walter was calm earlier but he is barking at the nieghbors across the street now.

I went plinking with Pete yesterday. Today is gun cleaning day. I started last night.

The flintlock fouled after two shots. When I pulled the breech plug it was fouled with a damp paste of partially burnt powder. I need to figure that out, clean everything up and put the gun back together.

The revolver will need some attention, too.
