The world fills him with wonder. When he looks at the sky he is lifted into flights of fancy, when he stares at the earth he is drawn beneath its surface. He is delighted to find the macrocosm and the microcosm equally mesmerizing.

I scrubbed the stale taste of last night’s dreams from my mouth and my tea is washing the flavor of toothpaste away.
Soaking in the darkness I listen to the whir of tires on damp pavement conveying my nieghbors to work.
The rooster applauds their steadfast commitment.
There is just enough light to see a bright yellow maple leaf float gently to the ground.
