The world fills him with wonder. When he looks at the sky he is lifted into flights of fancy, when he stares at the earth he is drawn beneath its surface. He is delighted to find the macrocosm and the microcosm equally mesmerizing.

I can almost taste the ocean in the breeze. I hear it coming through the firs on the ridge.
Arriving, it gusts through the naked oaks and swirls the heaps of leaves at their feet, before dropping them in new drifts and moving on.
The clouds have parted and the moon, just past full, shines as bright as day.
