The Writer, Vernon Wade

Vernon Wade is a poet, author and freelancer. He has been published in The Gorge Literary Journal, Dualsport Rider Magazine, Hack’d Magazine, The Sidecarist, ROB Magazine and The Hood River News.

The world fills him with wonder. When he looks at the sky he is lifted into flights of fancy, when he stares at the earth he is drawn beneath its surface. He is delighted to find the macrocosm and the microcosm equally mesmerizing.

I woke up early and managed to blast Amy with light several times fumbling with unfamiliar switches.

Just got back from a party at a house Janis Joplin and the Hells Angels used to hang out in.

The host has a rare whiskey collection in his basement which he shared with a few of us.

It was raining hard and blowing, but it has paused. Amy was back at the condo making a brioche when I stumbled in. I am watching Naked and Afraid until I pass out and dream of lions in Africa wrestling me nude for a rare bottle of whiskey.
