Good Morning

The Writer, Vernon Wade

Vernon Wade is a poet, author and freelancer. He has been published in The Gorge Literary Journal, Dualsport Rider Magazine, Hack’d Magazine, The Sidecarist, ROB Magazine and The Hood River News.

The world fills him with wonder.  When he looks at the sky he is lifted into flights of fancy, when he stares at the earth he is drawn beneath its surface. He is delighted to find the macrocosm and the microcosm equally mesmerizing.

1/9/26 6:30 33F (0.5C) Cold, calm. The waning moon  is completely obscured by clouds. It is a dark morning.

I am proud of her. It is an important job, perhaps now more than ever.

It seems like the unions are one of the few remaining bulwarks the workers have against the moneyed  elite who would prefer indentured servants to an aware and organized workforce.

The school unions are even more important. They push back against the constant insane right-wing attacks on public education, informing the public and insisting that student and employee welfare is prioritized.

If you are working,  join the union, pay your dues, and step up to help with the heavy lifting.
