The world fills him with wonder. When he looks at the sky he is lifted into flights of fancy, when he stares at the earth he is drawn beneath its surface. He is delighted to find the macrocosm and the microcosm equally mesmerizing.
2/20/26 5:30 28F (-2C) Dark, frozen, and windless, with broken clouds overhead.
The sky was quite dramatic early this morning. Starry patches of dark blue separated by opaque tufts as soft and fuzzy as lint.
As I finish my tea the clouds have coalesced into a curtain of gray and the stars have disappeared.
Dawn begins to lighten. The rooster crows, birds chatter, nieghbors drive by on their way to work.
The day has commenced. Good morning.
