Good Morning

The Writer, Vernon Wade

Vernon Wade is a poet, author and freelancer. He has been published in The Gorge Literary Journal, Dualsport Rider Magazine, Hack’d Magazine, The Sidecarist, ROB Magazine and The Hood River News.

The world fills him with wonder.  When he looks at the sky he is lifted into flights of fancy, when he stares at the earth he is drawn beneath its surface. He is delighted to find the macrocosm and the microcosm equally mesmerizing.

3/8/26 8:00 50F (10C) Coudy and dry, with a light wind.

The lodge pole ribbons are fluttering and the willows sway in the breeze.

It seems like the crocus and the daffodils have all bloomed overnight.

This morning is frantic with birds, all chirping, cooing, tweeting, clucking, cawing, squawking  in a loud, simultaneous cacophony.

They swoop and soar, flit and dart all around me.

The clouds rolling east above me seem to be in a hurry to get somewhere.

Good morning.
