The world fills him with wonder. When he looks at the sky he is lifted into flights of fancy, when he stares at the earth he is drawn beneath its surface. He is delighted to find the macrocosm and the microcosm equally mesmerizing.

It was just a little above freezing and snowing when we arrived at Spokane yesterday afternoon and still snowing when we went to bed .
The snow was wet, so little accumulation and the main streets remain mostly bare.
Cousin Gail’s memorial service is later this morning.
Our rental is quiet. I am the only one up right now.
