Good Morning

The Writer, Vernon Wade

Vernon Wade is a poet, author and freelancer. He has been published in The Gorge Literary Journal, Dualsport Rider Magazine, Hack’d Magazine, The Sidecarist, ROB Magazine and The Hood River News.

The world fills him with wonder.  When he looks at the sky he is lifted into flights of fancy, when he stares at the earth he is drawn beneath its surface. He is delighted to find the macrocosm and the microcosm equally mesmerizing.

Brisk but calm this morning. Funny light, I can’t tell if the sky is clear or overcast. We are camped in a little draw downstream from Musser Reservoir.

Up at a quarter to five to climb the hill behind camp and scratch a cat-hole in the rocks. Burned the TP in the hole and backfilled it when I was done. Need to bring a portable toilet next time I’m out here.

Walter and I took a short walk, then back to bed. He’s bunking in the truck.
