The ground is littered with stringy yellow-green flowers, fallen from the oaks. We will likely have a bumper crop of acorns come autumn.
The corn starts I put in the ground yesterday look good and I see a few more that have come up from the seeds I planted last month. The pumpkins are also surviving, but are still small enough the slugs could get them.
Amy heads to California this morning to see her mother. Walter and I will keep an eye on things here. I see some weeding in my future.
