I watch a jay chase a squirrel through the oak canopy.
Walter has joined the canine gossip, barking his contributions from the fence corner out front.
We haven’t seen Sheila Kitty for a couple of days. She may be vacationing with our neighbors, but I fear the worst. Twenty years is a long time to share company with a cat.
Frogs are belching in the pond across the back fence; birds chitter and flit through the flowering blackberries behind them.
The rain has passed; we continue to spin out the last days of spring.
