The canyon is still in shadow.

It is quiet  this morning,  only a couple of birds calling to each other. The rooster is sleeping in.

The truck is packed, I just need to secure my load. I leave for the Barlow Trail Long Rifles Rendezvous  on Mt. Hood after breakfast.

Walter is bound for disappointment. He’s been watching me pack. But Walter hates guns, so he is staying home to keep Amy company.
