The world fills him with wonder. When he looks at the sky he is lifted into flights of fancy, when he stares at the earth he is drawn beneath its surface. He is delighted to find the macrocosm and the microcosm equally mesmerizing.

Gray clouds whip past. Here and there they fray and tear, revealing the promise of blue sky.
A blue jay imitates the woodpecker and taps a tattoo with its beak.
Yesterday the rabbit kindled 9 kits, all alive. I need to check on them today, but it’s a promising start.
I’m soaking in the tub, drinking tea. I still need to unload the truck and set up the tipi to dry, but it is good to be home.
