Good Morning

The Writer, Vernon Wade

Vernon Wade is a poet, author and freelancer. He has been published in The Gorge Literary Journal, Dualsport Rider Magazine, Hack’d Magazine, The Sidecarist, ROB Magazine and The Hood River News.

The world fills him with wonder.  When he looks at the sky he is lifted into flights of fancy, when he stares at the earth he is drawn beneath its surface. He is delighted to find the macrocosm and the microcosm equally mesmerizing.

6/30/26 6:15 53F (11.6C) Windy and cloudy.  It doesn’t look like it rained last night after all.

I finished unloading the truck yesterday and put the canvas up to dry. Staked up some corn the wind blew over while I was at it.

The baby rabbits seem to be thriving and there is more fur in the nest. Mama rabbit is doing a good job for a first litter. I will try and get her sister bred today.

Walter is out front barking. I went to shut him down last evening and saw deer moving through the orchard across the street. He wasn’t barking at nothing after all.

The sun has gone behind the clouds and I am out of tea.

Buzzards are beginning to circle.

It might be time to get out of the tub.

Good morning.
