I had Friday off. Robert came up and we worked on the dugout canoe.
Rob went home Saturday. Before he did, we rode the Triumph up the hill and hiked down to the Big Rock for a beer. On our way back, we collected some ironwood for future cooking projects.
Sunday, Jason and I went out to where I have some poles stashed and finished peeling the bark off them. I’d like about 4 more poles to replace the warped and shorter ones. That would make a really nice set, but I have enough there now that I could do a tipi.
Amy got back from her weekend in Washington with friends doing a bridal shower. Her timing is always impeccable; she walked in the house just as I was pulling a pizza out of the oven. We had dinner and traded stories. She found the first chanterelle of the season while she was up there, so she had a pretty good weekend, too.
I’m a little sore today, and I need to be at work in about an hour, but it really was not a bad weekend.
