Camp Tittyhahaha 2005 Day 3

The Adventurer, Vernon Wade

Vernon was born in the Pacific Northwest and still lives in the shadow of Mt. Hood, near the small town where he grew up. Vernon has spent decades wandering the hills, hunting mushrooms, camping and riding motorcycles into the remotest nooks and crannies to be found in the region.

Saturday morning, I awoke to babies screaming in a neighbor’s tent. Camping in a parking lot, even a pretty one, has its drawbacks.

7/ 26/25 Walter and I took a short walk to relieve ourselves, then returned to camp. The Activities Director was updating the days activities. Ever compliant, I ducked into the tipi to put on some clean clothes, then we joined the others for a long walk on the beach.

It was quite a spread and we tucked into it with enthusiasm. Manouch brought lamb and rice, there was green beans, and teriyaki and all sorts of wonderful food. Nobody went hungry.
