Camp Tittyhahaha 2025 Day 4

The Adventurer, Vernon Wade

Vernon was born in the Pacific Northwest and still lives in the shadow of Mt. Hood, near the small town where he grew up. Vernon has spent decades wandering the hills, hunting mushrooms, camping and riding motorcycles into the remotest nooks and crannies to be found in the region.

7/ 27/25 Walter accompanied Andrew and me on an early morning walk on the beach.

When we got back to camp I cooked a Mountain Man Breakfast in the dutch oven, adding the chanterelles Andy found the night before, as well as some dried boletes and morels I had brought with me.

Marilyn and Manouch showed impeccable  timing, arriving in time for breakfast.

We did a walking tour of the campground and returned via the nature trail.

That evening we went down to the beach to watch the sunset. It was beautiful.

We also saw a bride’s photo-shoot. She walked along the beach in her white wedding dress, dragging the train through the sand and water.

And we witnessed a wedding proposal. Apparently, Beverly Beach is very romantic and the scene of many tragic decisions.

Back in camp, we ate and drank until it grew late and our eyelids grew heavy.
