The world fills him with wonder. When he looks at the sky he is lifted into flights of fancy, when he stares at the earth he is drawn beneath its surface. He is delighted to find the macrocosm and the microcosm equally mesmerizing.

The light is slow to arrive. The morning star hangs against a lavender backdrop, low in the east.
This morning feels like summer ending.
It won’t feel that way this afternoon, when temperatures climb above 90f (33.2c), but right now, in the cool, dull light of dawn, the change of seasons has arrived.
Got to get this done before it’s too hot out.
