The Writer, Vernon Wade

Vernon Wade is a poet, author and freelancer. He has been published in The Gorge Literary Journal, Dualsport Rider Magazine, Hack’d Magazine, The Sidecarist, ROB Magazine and The Hood River News.

The world fills him with wonder. When he looks at the sky he is lifted into flights of fancy, when he stares at the earth he is drawn beneath its surface. He is delighted to find the macrocosm and the microcosm equally mesmerizing.

Blue sky with a hint of a breeze.

Yesterday, I cut some pumpkin rings and hung them on the drying rack in the tipi. I am waiting until they allow fires to do more.

We went to Dave’s for a birthday party for mom later. She will be 95 this Tuesday.

Dogs are barking up and down the canyon and Walter is not about to be left out.

After some discussion, I have convinced him to settle down quietly on the deck. He can not contain the occasional stifled “woof”. He is doing his best, but I don’t expect it to last.
