Good Morning

The Writer, Vernon Wade

Vernon Wade is a poet, author and freelancer. He has been published in The Gorge Literary Journal, Dualsport Rider Magazine, Hack’d Magazine, The Sidecarist, ROB Magazine and The Hood River News.

The world fills him with wonder.  When he looks at the sky he is lifted into flights of fancy, when he stares at the earth he is drawn beneath its surface. He is delighted to find the macrocosm and the microcosm equally mesmerizing.

Overcast and wet. No wind. It rained last night and light rain is forecast for later today.

The waning crescent moon is a pale ghost, sometimes just visible through the clouds.

I got my wet canvas set up yesterday but the best I can hope for is the fresh air will retard mildew. If we get the predicted dry spell later this week,  perhaps I can get the lodge cover dried out and packed.

For now I soak, sipping my tea and listening to the small sounds of this canyon coming awake.

Good morning.
