The Adventurer, Vernon Wade

Vernon was born in the Pacific Northwest and still lives in the shadow of Mt. Hood, near the small town where he grew up. Vernon has spent decades wandering the hills, hunting mushrooms, camping and riding motorcycles into the remotest nooks and crannies to be found in the region.

9/27/26 6:30 62F (16.6C) The wind has died and the light is fading.

I had a productive day. Slaughtered and cleaned four bunnies, freeing up that cage for the rest of the litter I just weaned.

Then I peeled and sliced some pumpkins, hanging the rings in the smoke above the fire in the tipi ( I am using a BBQ in the lodge for a smoker. We still aren’t allowed open fires here).

Finished up the day by grilling a chanterelle stuffed hamburger which I had for dinner with corn on the cob and a pint of Moose Drool Beer.

Life is good.
